De nieuwe game van Machine Games heeft grote schoenen te vullen
De Developer Direct werd afgesloten door MachineGames uit Zweden. Zoals eerder aangekondigd toonden zij de eerste beelden van de Indiana Jones game en hebben ze ook de officiële naam prijs gegeven: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Indiana Jones wordt ontwikkeld onder toeziend oog van Todd Howard en Bethesda en wordt een first person action-adventure game die zich afspeelt tussen Raiders of the Lost Ark en The Last Crusade. De ontwikkelaar voegt het verhaal van de game als volgt samen:
"When our game begins, Indiana is working at Marshall College. He wakes up in the middle of the night to the sounds of a break-in and rushes to confront the thief in the College museum. The mysterious giant of a man marks off with what seems to be a historically insignificant artifact, sparking Indiana's curiosity. Following the trail, Indiana heads to the Vatican hoping to learn why this particular relic was stolen and discovers that things aren't what they appear."
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle maakt gebruik van het uiterlijk van de iconische Harrison Ford, die de bekende archeoloog in de films speelt. Voor zijn stem hebben ze niemand minder dan Troy Baker weten te strikken.
De game moet in 2024 verschijnen voor de Xbox Series X|S, PC en direct op Game Pass.
