Backwards compatibility nu ook voor multi disc games

Deus Ex: HR Director's Cut de eerste game.

Microsoft heeft de volgende horde genomen in het backwards compatibility programma, de multi disc games. Lange tijd leek het er niet van te komen, maar het is de technische staf van Microsoft gelukt om multi disc games ook backwards compatible te krijgen. Dit kwam naar voren, nadat Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut toegevoegd werd aan het programma. Deze game bestaat uit meerdere discs en is dus nu ook op de Xbox One speelbaar. In een gesprek met Polygon, meldde de consolemaker dit:

"Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut was the first multi-disc [backward compatible] title added to the program. We know fans were asking for this feature and our engineers worked hard developing a solution to enable it so we could further expand the titles included in Xbox One Backward Compatibility."
